Come, indoors
A fast come across one room, finished with a collar touch.

3 sessions a day, 2 minutes each, 5 recalls per session. Call once, then reward at your feet, not at arm's length.

Come from another room
The same come, when your dog can't see you.

Backyard, 15 ft line
Coming away from smells, outside, with the line as a safety net.

Comes from the end of a 15 ft long line in the backyard and holds 3 s. Distance drops back while the new place is the hard part.
HOMEWORK
Line on a back-clip harness, never a collar. Let your dog sniff, then call once mid-sniff. 5 calls per outing.

Backyard, 30 ft line
Twice the distance, same yard.

Warm up with two easy calls at 15 ft, then let the line out. Pick quiet times: no dog at the fence, no mower next door.

Arrive and stay
Coming in doesn't end the fun: hold, clip, release.

Arrives from 30 ft and holds 10 s while you take the collar and clip the leash, then gets released to sniff again.
HOMEWORK
Clip the leash on every third recall only, then unclip and release. Count the 10 s out loud for a week; it keeps you honest.

The park
The real place, with real dogs at a distance.

CRITERION
Comes from the end of a 15 ft line at the park, with dogs and joggers 50 ft away or more, and holds 10 s. This is the graduation step.
HOMEWORK
Park twice a week at quiet hours first (weekday 7 am), busier ones later. 5 recalls per visit, no more. If a dog comes closer than 50 ft, walk away first.
To pass a step: 8 of 10 first-call recalls, 2 sessions in a row.
5 of 10 or less: back one step for a session, then try again.

CADENCE
Consult in week 1, then a 60-min session every 2 weeks. You send a 2-minute video between sessions.
